Reference list/Bibliography:

No entry appears in the reference list.

In-text referencing:

Name the speaker, their title, the type of communication (eg email, letter, etc) and the date in text. 

Paraphrasing                      

Professor Mary Croft (James Cook University) stated in an email on 1 April, 2021, that her own studies have shown that social media has contributed to a rise in social anxiety

Quoting

"My own research has indicated that there is a correlation between the increasing diagnoses of social anxiety and social media use"  (M Croft 2021, pers. comm., 1 April).
