Science Guides: Human Biology - Effectiveness of sunscreens prac

Task Overview

In your experimental investigation, you will be required work in pairs to design and conduct an investigation to determine the effectiveness of various sunscreens.

The introduction section of your report requires you to introduce the topic and – where appropriate – relates the project to a real life question or issue. It should include any background information (the science) that a reader would need to know in order to understand the investigation and why it is important.

Questions to think about for your research:

  • What is UV related to the context of your investigation?
  • What is sunscreen and how does it work?
  • What previous research/study/information has previously been gathered on the topic?
