Teacher Resource Guide: Digital Video Collections

Digital Video Collections

The college has two digital video platforms that are available for staff and students to use. These platforms are all available through the STCC Portal. Please see the following information and instructions.

Clickview

Clickview is a digital video platform that both staff and students can access this through the College Portal. When you go through the Portal you will be automatically logged into your individual account.

The content is recorded from free to air and Foxtel. Clickview also produce their own content.

Clickview also has an app that staff and students can download.

You can search Clickview by title or subject area and narrow your search further by rating, Year level, length or age as shown below.

When you find a video that you would like to use for your students, you have several ways to provide access to it. You can 'share' the video by sending a link to your class or by pasting the link into SEQTA. You can also embed the video into SEQTA by using the embed link or by using the Online Lesson Editor in SEQTA

You can create clips from the videos and you can also create interactive videos by embedding questions, annotations or images to videos to enhance or test your classes understanding of the content.

Students do not see all of the content that staff do so it is important that when you find a good video, you add it to our college ClickView Library, that way students can access it and it is easy to find for staff and students in following years.

ClickView have an extensive Training Channel which can be found on the main Dashboard. This Channel contains short tutorial videos that will guide you through all of the functions of ClickView.

Curriculum Video on Demand

Curriculum Video on Demand is Infobase Online's video streaming service and has thousands of curriculum related videos and clips. Infobase is an American produced database so the Australian material is limited, however, it is a great resource for World History, Literature and Science. Curriculum Video on Demand can be found on the STCC Portal in the Infobase Online link.

The 'Browse Standards' feature allows you to search for videos that are related to the Australian Curriculum standards.

As Curriculum Video on Demand is single sign on through the STCC Portal you will need to direct your students to the Portal to access the content.
